Our story

Sarah and Sam are lifelong family historians with a shared passion for storytelling. They met studying creative writing at the University of East Anglia and married soon after, spending many hours walking along the Norfolk coastline exchanging stories about their ancestors’ lives.

When Sarah’s dad died in 2020, preserving those family stories suddenly felt urgent. Sorting through the boxes he left behind — photographs, trinkets, documents and half-finished family trees — showed how easily a life can be reduced to scattered memories, with no clear way to bring them together into stories that last

So they created Keepsake Family History. Combining their writing experience with a fascination for new technology, they built a genealogy platform that puts storytelling at the heart of family history.
